My Dad had a story published in the Jan-Mar 2016 edition of The Explorers Gazette! it starts on page 19 and is about

the Grounding of the USCGC Southwind (WAGB-280)

please take a look....I am proud of his service and extra proud he took the time to share some of his memories with the public!

Hope to see him on tomorrow on Memorial Day!!

note- the email was sent by Billy-Ace who is associated with the OAE, my Dad just forwarded the email from him.

Interesting publication, I haven't heard of the gazette till now. Those general quarters practices sure came in handy! Thank you for the link.
