Patched jacket

Just got this one online. What do you think about it ?

Have you ever seen a troop carrier patch with a weird bkack tab like this ?

That's one excellent shirt, my father has one with a black tab I believe it is German made they are quite scarce

The 81st division patch looks weird also. It does not look like a cat

The cat looks more like a buffalo. Looks like this has been worn and washed a bunch of times. Very nice pick-up. It looks like it is post war and made up by a kids in the 50's or 60's. I like it.

The patch w/ the lion and pax inscription is HQ, Allied Forces Southern Europe.,

Could you please ID this one also. I have seen it a couple of times but I can not remember what it is.


Is this one 5th division ? What's with that white border ? There is the exact same one on the front with yellow border also.


Is that me (or the picture) but the animal does not seems to be a wildcat neither a buffalo ?

White border 5th div is korean war era

The patch with the mace is the 108th inf div. considered a phantom unit since the division only existed on paper to fool the germans

A better photo of the buffalo or patch could help but it appears that this jacket has a bunch of variations of theatre made patches so my guess it is that, of the 81st

That is above my knowledge, hopefully someone else can tell you.

The gold border looks like it is German or possibly Japanese made that may be why it is gold

The 104th patch looks pretty funky too! Its on the back right shoulder area. Maybe a better pic of it also please.

A lot of great variations and theater made patches. Excellent score.The 5th Div on the front is an odd variation and the 10th Corps looks to have a bullion border.
