carrabassett Posted May 28, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 28, 2016 Picked this up at a yard sale this morning. Appears to be a nice early Utica M3. Always wanted to add a dated blade to my collection. Does anyone know what the three letters on the pommel represent? Thanks, Jim
SKIPH Posted May 28, 2016 Share #2 Posted May 28, 2016 Never seen letters on the pommel like that. Could be the owner's initials. Did you get a good deal? SKIP
carrabassett Posted May 28, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted May 28, 2016 Never seen letters on the pommel like that. Could be the owner's initials. Did you get a good deal? SKIP Thanks Skiph, neither have I so I was thinking the same. He already had an offer so I topped it and still think I got a good deal at $300? sundance Posted May 29, 2016 Share #6 Posted May 29, 2016 Even at $300. I think you got a deal. The M6 sheath alone has to be worth that. And a blade dated M3 to boot. I was afraid you were going to say $25. or something and immediately make me ill with envy. Now I'm just a little ill. The letters must be the owner's initials. blademan Posted May 29, 2016 Share #7 Posted May 29, 2016 I'm going to the wrong garage sales. Very nice find. Like has been said, the scabbard is worth that. You can close to double your money.
TheMariner Posted May 29, 2016 Share #8 Posted May 29, 2016 Im sure the yard sale seller was happy also, 300 Dollars for one of them for one sale is a pretty big deal! Most likely made his day! Nice find though!
