cmt04444 Posted May 16, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 16, 2016 I think the 13 star button HBTs shirt is ww2 era, I am not sure on the other. Are both of these ww2 era? The first one has square pockets which might make hem 2nd pattern?

cmt04444 Posted May 16, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted May 16, 2016 I noticed the collar on the second shirt is slightly different than the other, and obviously the buttons are as well.

'Flage Guy Posted June 25, 2016 Share #7 Posted June 25, 2016 I have 2 in mint condition, dated 1943, with tan plastic buttons; one is O.D.#3, the other #7. Ron is right, those are W.W.II.
cbuehler Posted June 25, 2016 Share #8 Posted June 25, 2016 The plastic buttons were wartime substitutes for metal. WW2 HBTs were still worn well into the 1950s though. I think the first one is ww2 also, but not sure as the pockets appear to be the later type and the collar is different. CB
