MWalsh Posted May 15, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 15, 2016 I came across these pictures recently and figured they were worth posting. This is the first pistol inspection picture I think I have come across. Other pictures from the set were dated from spring of 1941, and there were vehicles in them which were clearly marked as being from the 151st Field Artillery, which was a Minnesota National Guard unit called to Federal service in February 1941. With those dates in mind, I believe these were most likely taken at Camp Claiborne, Lousiana. The vehicle pics are posted in the vehicles section here on the Forum. I can see the DI on the overseas hats of these soldiers, and recognize it as being from the 151st FA. Standard .45 pistols and related holster and mag pouches it appears.
