WWII era USMC EGA - H-H with 10K Marked Anchor

I just picked up this EGA and was curious about a few things.

First, are the one's marked 10K on the anchor considered to be rare?

Does 10K mean that the anchor and continents are solid 10K?

Were these pinback types designed to be used as hat badges?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Rick

Check this topic about sweetheart emblems. H&H sweethearts are very common, they come up on the Forum all the time. I'll assume they were produced by the company but honestly I never studied or collected sweetheart pieces. There are other members who could provide better details.

Many a mod could move this topic to the EGA section

Indeed, H&H produced sweetheart pin

10K generally refers to a fill or plating, particularly on these firms. Typical fill in insignia of the era was 1/20
