A Large Brown Rat is mentioned in the log book several times usually late at night according to the entry times.

The Large Brown Rat was encountered at various times attempting to steal a radio, maps, and was seen carrying a North Korean Burp Gun at one point. In each case the rat apparently made his escapes without harm.
