Picked up a WW II Tank Destroyer NOK Dog Tag

I am a native Mississippian, and have been looking for a Mississippi WW II NOK Dog Tag for quite awhile - they are not easy to find, as our state has a relatively small population. I finally found one with the help of my friend and fellow forum member Siege 1863, who spotted one for sale on Ebay. To make it even better, it belonged to a soldier who served in the 811th Tank Destroyer Battalion - I collect tank destroyer artifacts, so it was a doubly good score. This tag belonged to Clarence A. Till, who lived in Puckett, Mississippi. He survived the war and died at the age of 70 in 1995. I found his obituary in our local paper, but all it said of his service was that "He was a World War II Army veteran."

I did find his name listed in the roster of the 811th Tank Destroyer Battalion in the unit history, which was online at the Tankdestroyer.net website:
