all-bull Posted April 18, 2016 Share #1 Posted April 18, 2016 Hello everyone, Wondering what your opinion is on these. I know Kryptek had several versions of their camo in the pre-ACU trials. There are no labels on the pants whatsoever, but they are cut exactly like the ACU, with the exception of the large belt loops on sides and back. They also have velcro knee pads slots, the velcro is at the bottom of the knee. They are also rip-stop. I own a few pieces of commercial Kryptek, and most of the time, the name of the camo is somewhere in the print. In having said that, this print does not (if it did, it would be the Mandrake pattern), and the print doesn't seem as "quality" of their current commercial ones. So for all the reasons above, I am thinking this may be the trial pattern submitted to the Army. Anyway, I would love to have your opinions on these. If they are original experimentals, they may be (sadly) up for sale.

patches Posted April 19, 2016 Share #9 Posted April 19, 2016 God what a horrible pattern! To my mind, nothing GI looking about it. Are these going to be the new BDU?
QED4 Posted April 19, 2016 Share #10 Posted April 19, 2016 You see those large button down belt loops on British uniforms, they are used to hold the stable belt.
taucco Posted April 19, 2016 Share #11 Posted April 19, 2016 chinese copy. These same chinese made uniforms in acu cut, with stable belt loops and epaulettes have been imported and used by iraqi forces in all kind of weird camouflages. I didn't see this one in use at the moment. i have a desert tiger stripe one.

all-bull Posted April 25, 2016 Author Share #14 Posted April 25, 2016 Thanks everyone for the comments! From what I've read, this pattern did extremely well in the trials, but the price was also one of the most expensive. As we all know as this point, the ACU pattern was chosen which was not even part of the trials... At any rate, although the pattern looks like a giant snake close-up, it does really do well out in the environment. I know every time I wear my commercial jacket to work, it gets a ton of comments! Nkomo Posted April 26, 2016 Share #16 Posted April 26, 2016 If I am not mistaken, the men in the picture are CIA Global Response Staff. Love the mixture of Kryptek, Multicam, and desert tigers.
