Picked this up today. Nothing really rare or quality but there's more not shown. Can anyone tell me what divisons the red patch w/the black eagle and the one with the 75 on it are. Any value to the patches? The uniforms are decent so I wouldn't take the patches off but just curious, Ray

That is the Blackhawk Division. Forgot the Unit number however, 38th?
Check Blackhawk division on google.

Not too shabby! If you plan on unloading some of it, drop me a line!

That's the 75th infantry division, click here for their order of battle.
I would put the value of the patch on $4,-

Could you post a total view from that uniform?

Here's the uniform. I'll be bringing it to a military show today. What do you think I could get for it?

Blackhawk was the 86th Divison, thanks, Ray

Excellent collection pick up overall and a very nice WWI 86th infantry coat...is it pocket dated? What collar brass does your other WWI piece have attached? They both look to be in very good condition.

It's a nice uniform complete with the trousers. Can't find a date. My collector friend wanted it along with all the WWI stuff. He's going to set-up a WWI manikin, Ray

If on Ebay, I wouldn't pay more than $20,-/$25,- for it, because the belt is missing. And it isn't that easy to find a replacement for that.

Would it be possible for you to post a picture from the USAAF uniform also?

The belts are not that hard to find, the hard part is getting the right one that matches the material. I have a whole bunch in my closet, that do not match most officer uniforms, because the shades are often slightly different. I would expect to get about $45-55(if its named it will be more) if I sold it around here, maybe a bit more or less depending on the day.

The WWI 86th patch is around 75-100 depending on who wanted it. How about a closeup of the cartridge belts, especially the snaps. They look like the model 1903 but they may be earlier.

That's a very nice bunch of stuff! I'd be thrilled to have either of those nice eagle snap cartridge belts. They look to be in great shape.

Do you have any details on the 4th Armored division shirt?
And a picture?

If you're selling it, I might be interested btw.

Thanks,
Erwin

Thanks for all the info fellows but I had an opportunity to move the rest of the collection to another collector friend of mine. I really wasn't greatly interested in most of the items and I felt the collector friends would appreciate them more. Of course I did keep out a few items that I was interested in though. One unusual item I kept, at least until I find out it's value, is this neat British telegraph instrument. Ray

Hi John, sorry I can't post any photos of anything now as I don't have any of the items anymore. I sold off everything, very reasonably, to my collecting buddies who wanted the items including the telegraph set. It made them happy and me too for seeing them happy, Ray
