Paul, what is the significance behind your jump wing with the blue cross on it?

Hi Grant,

 

The blue cross is the cross of Lorraine, I think the spelling is correct, and is associated with the Free French Forces in WW2. I normally stay away from devices on the front of wings but this wing is beautifully made and the cross and wing have been together a long time.

It's a tub of material from one of the "Angels of Bataan".

I still have to read through it all.

That's fascinating.  There were so few of them and their experiences so unique in a war full of unique experiences... you'd think this would be made into a movie or a mini series or something.
