Copperhead61 Posted February 19, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 19, 2016 These are my A-6A insulated flying boots for flight crew.Overall there will warm. The rubber is in pretty good shape. The wool on the inside of the boots is in very clean condition. Even though the boots are well-worn the outside portions of the boots still sport eight clear US Army air forces emblem. The zippers are in okay shape and the boots also still retain the original leather straps. The buckles at the end of the straps do have a slight rust on them. There is a minor whole at the bottom of the zipper near the toe must have been due to perhaps postwar where but it does not affect the way the boots show. Pretty decent set of boots while not mint condition they definitely have a lot of character I'll be posting several of my other US Army Air Force and Air Force crew gear items in the coming days. littlebuddy Posted February 19, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 19, 2016 There is a thread related to these boots somewhere on here , regarding the dates and decal information . The A6a boot came into service in 1945 . Look forward to seeing your other items ! LB
