Steve B. Posted February 13, 2016 Share #5 Posted February 13, 2016 My Father attended Wentworth in the 1950s, so that was my first thought when I saw the initials W.M.A. However, the crest or coat of arms (or whatever the correct term is) on the button in question doesn't look anything like the coat of arms currently in use or even in the 1950s. Did it change that much over the years, or is there some other explanation? I'm not trying to call anyone out here, just trying to make sense of it all. Thanks! Steve B. Posted February 13, 2016 Share #6 Posted February 13, 2016 Well, it looks like I just answered my own question. The design on the button appears to be the Missouri State Seal. Logical to use that for an institution that was just starting out (founded in 1880). The Wentworth coat of arms must have been developed later. Sorry to be a bother!
