A few days ago when I was visiting my Mom and Dad, we started to talk about his military service and the medals he had earned. He remembered that he still had a few and went to get them. He brought out 5 small blue boxes and 1 large presentation case for his bronze star. When I opened them I was surprise and shocked. Except for the Bronze Star, the rest looked like they had never been worn and nor seen the light of day a lot. The below image is not retouch for color. All the colors are bright and brilliant. Also, these are not any replacement medals, but the ones he was given. The medal and 2 ribbons (lower left) are his US Maritime Service (Merchant Marine) WW2 victory medal. the ribbons are: Merchant Marine's Mediterranean Middle East War zone and the Merchant Marine's Atlantic War zone. I also included the reverse side of the USMM victory medal, sorry about the focus.
