Source for Repair of Old Uniforms?

Hello all. I have two uniforms from the early 1900s that are need of repair. Does anyone have a recommendation on a tailor that may specialize in old uniform repairs that will not have the signs of modern materials? I've looked up some restoration businesses, but I thought I would explore your recommendations first.

Specifically, I have an formal Infantry officer's uniform that has the decorative gold and blue lacing that has detached from the rear of the collar. I also have a formal NCO uniform that I have the insignia for, but I need capable hands to sew them on correctly.

Does anyone know the specific measurements for how insignia should be placed on M1905 enlisted uniforms? I have another example to compare spacing, but if anyone knows it by a written reference that would be awesome. Thanks so much!

I've not used them before but, judging from their information it will be a good choice, if somewhat expensive (as are nearly all conservation labs).

If you are a "thread counter" type of collector, then that is something to make sure they understand beforehand - and I believe they probably will without having to make a point of it.

Thanks for your point. Luckily I'm not looking for repairs of major tears or holes. One uniform needs some stains removed, and the other requires hand sewing to attach the enlisted insignia correctly (from a M1905 uniform from the very early 1900s).

I know there are other options out there so I still welcome other opinions or experiences.
