The curved metal ends are 36.5mm wide so I guess they are for something round with 1.5" diameter. Straps are 2" wide and made from same webbing l the M-1936 carrying straps were made of. Medical Dept. used with stretchers. ( a wartime quip was that when it was raining they were used across the patient, the stretcher could be inverted and the patient transported in the dry ) but that was only a wartime joke. lewis Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
