TLeo Posted November 22, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 22, 2015 In my experience these don't show up too often or when they do are very generic so thought I would share this squadron marked deck helmet from VMA-513 Fling Nightmares. I've had it a long time but don't remember ever photographing so while I was rearranging some shelves this morning decided to take these.
northcoastaero Posted November 26, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 26, 2015 Nice cranial. I believe the designation is HGU-25/P. Just curious. What is the date on the inner spec. tag? I had a yellow cranial at one time that had a VMFA-212 zapper sticker on the back.

TLeo Posted November 27, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted November 27, 2015 The OIC may stand for Officer In Charge? That is my understanding and in all te photos I've seen, officers use the white safety/QA cranials when needed as opposed to the other colored specialties.
