Sabrejet Posted November 18, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 18, 2015 It's a common problem with old rubberized canvas. It's an irreversible chemical process...it gets brittle and can crack or split. A friend of mine once used some commercial hand-cream on his assault gas-mask case which had stiffened. He thought the lanolin it contains would rejuvenate it!
