There is an old lacquer coating that has turned a bit dark with age

Thats a beauty Ed, i love the look of an old laquered helmet sometimes, interesting that theres a 503rd white circle on one side, is that a tic mark on top?...do you know any history on the paratrooper or his name?...probably was in both units at sometime is my guess....very cool...mike

Mike, I have no history on the previous owner...I'm not sure how long I've owned it...It was packed away for at least 8 years

with about 60 helmets  I forgot about and couldn't get to until this week while sorting through stored boxes and cabinets. Ed
