Brig Posted June 6, 2016 Share #26 Posted June 6, 2016 In my experience, studio portraits with gear, weapons, etc are fairly uncommon as far as US photography went. While it is very common to find WWI and WWII German portraits in helmets, weapons, jump smocks, etc...it seems far more uncommon on the US side. I assume this is because of regulations governing what could and could not be worn on liberty...I'm thinking the diver photo was done in some official capacity, perhaps for an official publication of some sort, much as many GIs were photographed in German kits for Marshall's field guide on the German forces Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
