Sarge8 Posted October 13, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2015 Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Went out for a ride and stopped at a small flea market. Mostly junk, but picked this lot up for $10. Includes pair of dog tags, beat up pay record book, two passes and request for local town "readjustment allowance". I took the photos at lower resolution to get them on here. Hope they come through OK. I found him on Ancestry. He was born in 1925 and passed away in 2000. He worked as an insurance salesman. According to his discharge ,which I was able to obtain a copy of, he was a cook in Headquarters Co, 6th Post Headquarters. Not sure what kind of unit that was. One of the passes says PORT, not POST. The other says HQ CO ASSEMBLY AREA COMMAND. Photos to follow, about 7 Frank

Graybeard Posted October 17, 2015 Share #7 Posted October 17, 2015 Good value there Sarge. The tags alone are probably worth $20.
