CBI souvenirs, flags and Taj Mahal bullion tapestry

Just picked these up today. Came from the estate of a local veteran who served in the CBI. I really like the metal work on the Taj Mahal tapestry. It was folded up and stored in a cedar chest for the last 70 years along with the three flags. One flag is a very small prayer flag, roughly 8 inches by 6 inches. The other two a much larger, one being silk and the other cotton. The cotton flag has seen better days but its my favorite of all three. If only this flag could talk, I can only imagine where it was. The interesting thing about the larger cotton flag is it seems like instead of string ties in the corners it has a seam sewed along the top for a pole. (The seam I am talking about is the top of the flag which has all the rips). It is also a multi-piece construction, the red circle is sewn onto the flag. If anyone has any idea if this could be a military unit flag or just the run of the mill civilian house flag, please let me know. Overall, this is a nice little grouping from a local vet in my town.

Are those blood stains on the cotton one?? Could very well have been a military flag, knowing for sure if tough but could have been a battle flag from a military establishment !!

My friend said the same thing. I have seen dried blood on cotton and these stains resembles it very closely. The stains are not like dirt. They are a strange brown. Thanks for reminding me about that!

Very nice. We just found my grandfather's souvenir flags as well from the CBI (40th Bomb Group). He brought back two other variations of the Taj Mahal souvenir you have shown us. Must have been quite the market for such things. The quality seems quite nice.

I'm stuck on whether or not I should keep these items or sell them. I'm not 100% sure what a fair price to ask would be. I was thinking maybe $125. I've got a few documented Japanese flags brought home by soldiers, so what's the point in having more? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
