Does anyone own an original white pile version of the M-1943 pile liner? Judging by the date of the photo (February 1944) and the location (the Climatic Research Lab) I am assuming this was an experimental variant. Caption "Mayor James P. Meehan, of Lawrence, (Mass.) is being fitted into an Arctic outfit by Lt. Col. John A. Talbot of the Climatic Research Laboratory, Lawrence, Mass. to the amusement of Attorney Charles D.
