Hit the local Flea Market this past weekend and snagged some patches off a good buddy of mine. Later I picked up a marked set of Army Special Forces Crests aswell.

Theater-Made 23rd Infantry Division, 40th Infantry Division, 3rd AAF, Far East Air Forces,

2 Phantom (Ghost) Divisions: 11th and the 22nd Infantry Division, and Marine Barracks Londonderry Ireland

Nice 23rd Inf Div and SF di's.

Thanks for the comments all,

Any idea what country the 23rd ID was made in? I'm presuming somewhere in the Pacific as they were involved in the PTO.

Wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info. Snagged them all up for $2 each.

Yes, a lot were encased in plastic and used as pocket hangers but also worn as a regular SSI.

I was aware of the plastic hangers but didn't know they wore both regular or theater-made SSIs in them. Figured they'd would use the standard SSIs to put in them.

There are a lot os standard U.S. SSI made patches that were worn as a pocket hanger. But just as many theater made ones too.
