401st GIR Posted September 22, 2015 Share #37 Posted September 22, 2015 Amazing grouping Ed. Spoke with Carwood a few times on the phone. I remember those conversations like they were yesterday. His Wife Marie is one of the most charming people you could meet in two lifetimes. I have been told that the roster actually belonged to RD Winters. Lipton borrowed it but it never found its way back, most likely due to his failing health.

38Driver Posted September 22, 2015 Share #39 Posted September 22, 2015 Did Lipton have no family? It's mind boggling that his stuff would get out into the collector world. Amazing collection nonetheless

doyler Posted September 23, 2015 Share #43 Posted September 23, 2015 Ed Thanks for posting this as well as the history of the cups.Heard bits and pieces about these over the years. Wanted to ask if the 506th patch of Mr.Liptons is one of the reunion patches? The design and details reminds me of ones seen at reunions worn by vets. Thanks again for sharing your collection.
