hirsca Posted September 3, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 3, 2015 Estate sale find today. Several other WW2 era items at the sale and the occupant is 92 years old--so I'm thinking the lighter is probably WW2 vintage like the Zippo and Park black crackles.. No exterior marking. Logo inside of the lid. The case has thick walls, possibly aluminum. Insert is two piece, closed bottom with interesting flint storage in the fluid filling screw. Unusual chimney construction. May not be US, if so, apologies in advance and please lock. Thanks, Al

The head of my research department, aka the War Department, aka the wife of 47 years just ID'd it. WW2 Zephyr Galter lighter. First one I've run across. Oh, and by the way, she was the one who found it. Thanks, Al
