BBC 4 broadcast a documentary on Disney's contributions to the war effort earlier today.

I was interviewed by the show's producer for around three hours several months ago. I eagerly listened to the archived show today and was pleasantly surprised to hear audio clips from my interview with them used five times in the documentary. Follow this link to hear the archived broadcast:

In a write-up about the show, they used the following image, which was taken at The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. The photo shows one of the war gallery display cases. Nine of the shown artifacts are from my own collection.

All in all, the BBC did a great job capturing the wartime history of the Disney Studios in just a 28 minute documentary. The definitely covered a lot of the important parts.

I have to say, BBC does tend to do a good job with their documentaries. I wish we had radio documentaries over here, would make the ride to work much more interesting

Good stuff, Dave.

Thanks, Brig.

Like I said, I'm surprised (but ecstatic) they managed to use five clips featuring me in the documentary.

Great fun and added notoriety...my kids told me I'm a celebrity now.

In my own mind, I responded...LOL...

I'm not at all surprised. There are few guys I would consider 'go to guys' in their respective fields. When I see Mickey Mouse in dress blues, only one person pops into my mind.

I agree with Brig.
