WWII letters home

Is there any collective value to GI letters home? I have 50+ letters and cards sent by my uncles during WWII. One uncle was in the Aleutian Islands and the other in the south Pacific; wounded on New Guinea. I have no children to pass these things along to and my cousins have no interest in the items: which I personally think is a shame, but that the way it is.

 

Surely someone would want these things for history's sake?

 

Not looking to make a lot of money off this. Would be satisfied to find the items a good home. One that would preserve them for future reference.

ridarmstr...........i've always found military letters etc very worth while saving as an archive,no matter what period.it's a shame no one in the family feels that way.as far as value it depends on content,units,areas of service etc...............dave

Yeah I would hang onto them even if no one wants them at this point. Maybe somebody in your family might decide they want them in later years to come? Just my thoughts.
