riflegreen297 Posted July 18, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2015 For a long time, I have searched high and low for a named, badged set of Mike Force Tigers. Recently I was fortunate enough to get not one but twos sets of badged MF Tigers, a MF Party shirt and an embroidered beret all belonging to the same man. There was a lot that I missed (another member here got some of the OG107s) and was not able to get, but I am happy with the items I did pick up. Bellumbill Posted July 21, 2015 Share #17 Posted July 21, 2015 Top class is right Owen! Man, love when you win something on ebay and the seller offers you something else - doesn't happen so much, at least to me, anymore - Its like Christmas! Forgot to mention in my above comment, LOVE those Golden Tigers! Still, just incredible to see two sets displayed together like that -- its almost overwhelming! Very best, Bill

riflegreen297 Posted July 22, 2015 Author Share #24 Posted July 22, 2015 It is kind of ironic because a few months ago I purchased a small uniform grouping of a 1950's 10th Grouper/ 5th Ranger Company vet and the seller included some Behind The Lines magazines and papers. Always being a Mike Force fan one of those papers that I found intriguing was the JUL/AUG 1993 paper that has the Battle of Grand Summit on front cover and the story about A-503 in the battle. Low and behold a couple months later I see the items of the A-503 CDR on ebay. Here is a link with the story of the Battle of Grand Summit as written by Daniel Pope who was on A-502 during the battle: http://www.therossjewelrycompany.com/editpope.html Here is a photo from the article showing Lt. Wright during the battle before he was wounded:
riflegreen297 Posted July 22, 2015 Author Share #25 Posted July 22, 2015 Here is a photo that I have already posted to the Tigers thread. It is of Lt. Wright being Medevac'd after having his thumb shot off. Note the Tiger helmet cover (would love to have that with the uniforms).
