Went to an estate sale today. The guy spent 30 years in the military. According to his obit in 1932 he joined the Army and was sent to the 13th FA in Hawaii. Later he transferred to the US Army Air Corps as a mess sergeant then became a aircraft engine mechanic ( I have always maintained that a cook and mechanic in the Army were interchangeable) and then crew chief on a B-18 with the 72d BS 5th BG. He was at Hickam Field on Dec 7, 1941. He stayed in the US Air Force after 1947 and took part in the Berlin Airlift and the Korean War. He retired in 1962 as a Master Sergeant.

I think this patch is nice. It must be an athletic patch for a team. It is constructed like a sportsman's letter that would have been worn on a jacket or jersey.
