Morlok Posted July 9, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 9, 2015 My gut says it looks good. I have limited experience with these, and I have only owned 2, but I would say it looks good to me! ...I could be proven wrong though. There are a few members here who know these like the back of their hand...

Morlok Posted July 9, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 9, 2015 Militariaone seems to be the end all expert on these. I purchased one from Lance, and his knowledge with these is remarkable. If he doesn't chime in, send him a PM. I'm sure he'll give you the correct input!

C. Roelens Posted July 9, 2015 Share #9 Posted July 9, 2015 Better pictures would be nice. It's an original, and in pretty good condition. Most, if not all of the original blackened finish is gone from the handle and blade. The scabbard is a little dented, however retains both belt hooks. These are getting tough to find nowadays. Bodes Posted July 15, 2015 Share #11 Posted July 15, 2015 No marks on the blade just the handle There shouldn't be any thing on the blade....The French made Au Lion ones however were marked.....The scabbards for these are hard to find with the hooks still in tact.....I agree, it looks to be an original....Bodes

Too Much WW1 Militaria Posted August 12, 2015 Share #16 Posted August 12, 2015 Looks goo to me. As said above, the Au Lions had marks on the blade. Here is a picture of my Au Lion, didn't take a pic of the scabbard. John

2/4 Marine Posted August 16, 2015 Share #19 Posted August 16, 2015 100% original, two makers on these. This one is a L.F. &C. and never had a makers mark on the blade only on the grip. Very difficult to find these with the scabbard. Nice one!!
