AverageJoeWWII Posted July 3, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 3, 2015 As I don't collect knifes, I think I did ok with this one. Just know a little bit from what I have read here on the forum. But I knew enough to grab this one if I could. Funny thing about this...the guy wanted to haggle over the price of some rusty ammo cans, but when I offered him $50 for the M4 he snapped it up. Appears to be pretty close to mint ?? All comments welcome about maker, condition, etc and current value ...I'm thinking $125 range ??? Thanks Rob

tarheeltim Posted July 3, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 3, 2015 Rob, I think you're right on. M4's have gone up a little. On a good day this bayonet might bring $140-$150. Nice buy!
sundance Posted July 3, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 3, 2015 You did good for $50., it looks to be in very nice shape.
SKIPH Posted July 3, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 3, 2015 I think it looks good! But, it is the first "V" cut groove Utica M4 I've ever seen. I have 2 Utica M4s, both are 6 groove square cut, that are all close to the center of the handle. I do believe this is legit. Doesn't appear to be messed with. Gary will have to let us know about "V" cut Uticas, probably late in production. SKIP

Misfit 45 Posted July 3, 2015 Share #9 Posted July 3, 2015 Very nice M4. You stole it! Good job. It has the later straight pins in the pommel indicating late production (1945), so the V groove handle is appropriate. Marv
