GeneralLucas Posted July 1, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 1, 2015 I guess the NAA is North American Aviation as it came from an Air Force Grouping, What is it?
GeneralLucas Posted July 1, 2015 Author Share #2 Posted July 1, 2015 By the way, this Hughes AWACS pin was in the grouping, any thoughts?
rtepak6 Posted July 1, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 1, 2015 The NAA Mach Buster pin was a North American Aviation issued pin, typically given to pilots who flew the F-100 Super Sabre faster than Mach 1. I believe it also came with a small card which read, "This certifies that ____ is a member in good standing and has exceeded the speed of sound in a USAF F-100 Super Sabre, North American Aviation." gwb123 Posted July 2, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 2, 2015 By the way, this Hughes AWACS pin was in the grouping, any thoughts? Hughes was a contractor for the AWACS. The background of the pin looks suspiciously like the radar antenna for the aircraft.
