bryang Posted June 30, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 30, 2015 Here are three Honorable Discharge documents all for John Wesley Currie, of Franklin, TX, born in 1904. The first Discharge is from the end of his 4-year enlistment in 1924, where he had been a Store Keeper aboard the USS Pennsylvania. This Discharge further notes his re-enlistment into the U.S. Navy for a further 4 year hitch. The second Discharge is from a later term, and is dated June 1941. John W. Currie had been Chief Store Keeper aboard the USS New Mexico. Back of this document indicates that he had - during the enlistment period - also served aboard the USS Saratoga and the USS Rigel (San Diego, CA). The last Honorable Discharge is dated 1950, and is his final one. It documents nearly 30 years as a U.S. Navy Sailor - 1920 to 1950. His assignments during his career are listed: USS Pennsylvania USS Rigel USS Seattle USS Saratoga USS Rigel USS New Mexico CUB-12 (Advance Base Unit) Naval Advanced Base Unit #4 NAVSTA Samar P.I.
