Hello

I saw this a few weeks ago. I think it's not real.

( If I had a reference and knew it is real I would have bought it )

What do you think ?

HAVE A NICE DAY

Michael

If this is the same folks they have had this piece on their website for a while having sold it awhile ago. I copied their photos of this pin and they look identical. If they have another one for sale then I would be suspicious.

I'm not telling you not to be suspicious...but I have had plenty of insignia made by Luxemberg...from the image posted, the trademark/hallmark follows the pattern I am accustomed to seeing.

Insigina Hunter

Did you pick those up roadrunner? I just called them and was told they were already sold!

By the way those are the only 5 star luxenbergs that ive seen to date that I believe to be real. All other I've personally seen are the 1903 garbage repos.

I wanted to show, that it is an original.

And what could do it better than a page of a museum with description "Luxemburg, Sterling"

I asked the NPS for a picture of the reverse and here it is what I receive.

"Dear Mr. Rolf,

From this object's catalog record, I can tell you that the maker's mark on back is "Luxenberg [in script] / STERLING". It appears that the write-up in our virtual museum exhibit has the name misspelled. If you still want a better photograph, let me know. I would not be able to take it until next week and cannot guarantee that I can do any better that what I already sent.

Sincerely, "

I asked for a better picture and hope to receive it next week.

When I receive the next picture I will post it here.
