I believe this thread is somehwere around the 150 picture mark, showing around 200 individual vests, at the beginning I never imagined they were so common.

Layout of pockets is like the lightweight vest but the pockets do not have rounded flaps.

stupidly I didn't record the caption. Off topic but interestingly I have also seen an ARVN using M79 bandoleers as belt pouches for his m16.

I believe this is the first photo I have seen of an airman wearing a shirt-vest, although there is some bias there as I don't look at too many pictures of airmen.

Great pics, brings back lots of memories. Looks to be a good pic of the docks at Newport. Best chow over there since they served merchant marine crews.
