bellasilva Posted May 24, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 24, 2015 I picked this up this morning from a large flea market. I'd imagine it's a theater made ribbon bar but I'm far from an expert. It appears to have been removed from a uniform at some point. Any input is much appreciated!

Dave Posted May 27, 2015 Share #8 Posted May 27, 2015 I'd say Italian. It's identical to one I had years ago that was made in Italy. Granted, that's not 100% as some of the same materials could have made it to Austria, Germany, or wherever else, but if I had it, I'd consider it Italian made. cbuehler Posted May 27, 2015 Share #9 Posted May 27, 2015 While it may possibly be Italian, it is really impossible to be sure of just where it was made. Those hand made stars are very unusual. CB
bellasilva Posted May 29, 2015 Author Share #10 Posted May 29, 2015 Thanks for the feedback gents. I only ask because on several occasions here I've seen members able to quickly identify where a theater ribbon bar was made based on their immense knowledge on the subject and some tell tale signs on the ribbon bar
Kadet Posted May 29, 2015 Share #11 Posted May 29, 2015 I would also guess Italian...
V42 Posted June 27, 2015 Share #12 Posted June 27, 2015 I've had some with the stars on the ribbons that came out of England for sure and some that have bullion stars out of Germany after the war. Looks to be wartime made but to be exact, that's tough. England - Italy.??
