oldabewla Posted May 24, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 24, 2015 These are two original 45 Thompson / grease gun 30 rd AAF made or rigger made stick mag pouches I just pick up. I couldn't get the original six 30 rd stick mags purchased because the selling want to much for them but sold me the pouches cheap.

oldabewla Posted May 24, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted May 24, 2015 Ronny67, If you ever owned a WWII AAF first aid air craft medical kit pouch they are made with the nickel plated LTD on them also the fronts of LTD of these have the original marked markings. Remember the AAF made pouches were used by the paratrooper in WWII or the so called rigger made gear.

It may be the lighting, but your snaps look like brass, and the back of the female LTD in your second picture just screams repro from that photo. The aging on the fabric looks inconsistent with the aging on the metal. Do you have better photos of the stitching and the back of the LTDs? oldabewla Posted May 25, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted May 25, 2015 These pouches came with (6) original 30rd Thompson mags. I didn't buy them because the seller wanted $50 each for the mags that would had been $300 The backs of the TLD are unmarked and painted black like the British made types Here is pictures

Ronny67 Posted May 26, 2015 Share #9 Posted May 26, 2015 Those are brass Post-war LTD snaps with repro male studs and backs. Period LTD snaps on these pouches will be nickle plated, or unmarked blackened brass These are aged repros with some period components to sell the fake. If a TSMG mag rusted against the inner lip of the flap, the LTD male stud backs will show at least some corrosion. I hope you can get your money back.
