When I was running the fabric I added a few yards of scrap canvas that was going into the trash.

I had a few hold all a made up for myself and a few friends

I had the opportunity to see Suicide Squad last night. The writer and director of the film David Ayer generously provided an early free screening of the film for the military. Ayer is a US Navy veteran and also hosted a free military screening of his last film, Fury. The screening of Suicide Squad I attended was in a packed theater at Fort Jackson, SC.

Suicide Squad is set to release on August 5th and is the newest installment in DC Extended Universe series of films. The film is centered around a group of imprisoned supervillains who are assembled together as a task force by a government official and sent on a perilous mission to defeat a mysterious and powerful foe that threatens to destroy earth. This group of supervillains is offered clemency for their crimes in exchange for their cooperation and are escorted by military operatives to their objective.

Suicide Squad fits comfortably within the new crop of DC Universe films with the story taking place following the events of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Suicide Squad also serves as a tour de force within the DC Universe of films by expertly introducing and establishing lesser known DC characters into the film’s narrative. The film accomplished revitalizing long standing fan favorite characters such as the Joker as well as his accomplice and love interest, Harley Quinn. On top of this, the film managed to incorporate supporting roles from DC superheroes such as Batman while still keeping the narrative well centered on the beleaguered Suicide Squad.

The film was very measured in its approach to storytelling. I cannot think of another film that blended action, humor, supernatural elements, and dynamic character development so well. Suicide Squad features an impressive cast. Great casting is a hallmark of David Ayer’s films and that quality is readily apparent in Suicide Squad. Veteran actors appear alongside emerging talents and all the players give powerful and authentic performances. The pacing of the film was flawless. Reflecting back on my viewing of the film it is astounding for me to think of the ground covered in the realm of character development while moving the narrative along and still boasting a two-hour run time. Ayer wasted no time on screen. Suicide Squad featured impressive settings that ranged from expansive cityscapes to rich ground level sets that feature astounding depth. The action portrayed on screen was gripping. When our protagonists go to work you are in the thick of it. My movie-going experience was rewarding and complete as I felt part of the immersive and wild ride on the screen. Suicide Squad was wonderful to see with a big audience as you could really share in the laughs as well as feel a connective energy coming from the exciting and captivating events of the film.

In addition to the films stirring narrative quality it was also technically impressive in many respects. The films soundtrack features tracks that perfectly match the story as well as the protagonists as certain songs are paired with as our leads appear in the film. A powerful score also elevates the unfolding events of the film. Suicide Squad’s sound design was just as commendable as it’s visual qualities and greatly enhanced the immersive feel of the film. This film is BIG in every respect. I recommend seeing it in theaters to get the most out of the viewing experience.

As stated previously in this thread our own kammo-man served as the military costume supervisor for the film. The military costuming was excellent and added to the authenticity of Suicide Squad's good guys. The costuming was coupled with tactical training provided to the cast by a team of veterans serving as military advisors. This combination of aesthetics and realistic tactics made for a truly impressive portrayal of the films military characters.

It was a real pleasure to experience Suicide Squad and I highly encourage seeing it soon

Saw it last night and enjoyed it.

I went in to see a comic book based movie, not an epic historical tale, and was not disappointed. I think it was the best DC movie yet.

I love the comment section on that page, esp the dumbarse who says the pattern already existed and was ready for a lawsuit.

Kammo-man invented this pattern as a night pattern and went through weeks of work to get it right. I was getting emails / texts daily as the progress was happening on the shoot.

I see multicam, experimental T pattern, and six color desert in one. Looks awesome.

Wish I could buy a set for wear when going to gun range.
