More fake KIA airborne dog tags.

Jeez, this is bad. The fact that they try to make a buck off of a name of a dead hero makes me sick.

Cannot agree more, very disrespectful to the veteran and his family.

His name is Richard Johnson and he is the guy who wrote the Tiger Stripe book.

Just search his name here on USMF and you will get more then enough info.

Some things about this item and the story seemed off to me, so I googled the seller and found this thread. Its not a dogtag, but worth a bump anyway. Thoughts?

I imagine the story is good, as is the uniform, but this seller is notorious for stripping uniforms, which is what he has done again here. Text from the auction:

A REAL BEAUTY OF A SET - TAKEN OFF A RAGGED AND SMELLY JACKET. THE JACKET IS NOT FOR SALE - IT WAS STRIPPED DOWN YEARS AGO - YOU GET THE WINGS, OS BARS, RANK - CATERPILLAR CLUB PATCH AND THE RIBBON BAR.

That uniform sure looked good to me. Airing it out and some Febreeze could have easily addressed the odor issue.

Here's a more recent thread where the seller is discussed...
