bayonetman Posted April 9, 2015 Share #9 Posted April 9, 2015 They are good - one of mine is about the same. They depth varied somewhat depending on the dies during the war. For a quick reference, the commercial marking used in later years used the same type of M that was used on the commercial M4. That is, the center of the M does not go down much past half way compared to all the way on the WW2. Look at the above compared to the commercial mark shown here.
