automatic Posted March 28, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 28, 2015 The nametapes are theatre made, right? Is anything else theatre made on this piece? Also, is the foreign wing ARVN, and if so, what level? Thanks in advance for your help!

gwb123 Posted March 28, 2015 Share #3 Posted March 28, 2015 The ARVN jump wing is the basic level. The Infantry crossed rifles might be local made... the dye looks to be fading along with the name tapes. I think everything else, other than the tapes is US made. 50th Armored was a National Guard division centered in New Jersey. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/50th_Armored_Division_%28United_States%29 Just a guess, but it is possible the owner was prior enlisted, served in Vietnam, got out, got an ROTC commission and then went into the National Guard as a 2LT. If he had been an officer with the 173rd, he would have been a 1LT or a Captain by the time he got to the 50th Division.

gwb123 Posted March 28, 2015 Share #6 Posted March 28, 2015 I think that is slightly high, but it is getting harder to find fully badged OG-107's. You could scan the completed listings on eBay to get a feel for what they are going for. But they are going to become less common as time goes on. Just tell yourself it will be more expensive 5 years from now.
