Hi I've been watching this grouping for a while but wondered if his unit of him in particular saw any combat. All I know is his name is Lt. Kimberland

The 87th was assigned to the Intermediate Section of the SOS, so I doubt it saw any combat.

I have the regimental history at home. I'll check for the Lt. tonight.

Looks like this belonged to 1st Lt. Sam O. Kimberlin of Altus, OK, who served with Co. H, 346th Infantry from its inception. He was known for "mustache cultivation".

The company was assigned to guard and labor details, and saw no combat.
