chis Posted March 26, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2015 I have seen the aerial gunner bar on both the air corp technician badge and the army expert marksman badge. What are the regulations concerning this bar? When did this bar get introduced? Is this a further designation beyond the aerial gunner wings or essentially the same? Many thanks! stratasfan Posted April 24, 2018 Share #2 Posted April 24, 2018 Bump! I was just going to post the same question! found this pic of one, and want to know if the bar is actually for this badge and what the difference between it and gunner wings would be! Hoping someone finds this!

roadrunner Posted April 24, 2018 Share #4 Posted April 24, 2018 The Aerial Gunner bar was not used for the technician badge. http://www.angelfire.com/md2/patches/medals/otherqbaaftech.html .

Allan H. Posted May 20, 2019 Share #7 Posted May 20, 2019 Just because the bars was SUPPOSED to only be worn on the weapons qualifications badges, that doesn't mean that they didn't show up on the AAF Technician badges during WWII. I have one of the econo-lead examples with a lead bar that came directly from a WWII veteran who wore it that way. When I asked him about it, he said the Tech badges were bigger and more impressive on the uniform. These bars on AAF Q Badges aren't just a collector concoction.
