Teamski Posted March 5, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 5, 2015 This pin is made by NS Meyer and somebody told me it had to do with the USAF Academy. Does anybody here know? Thanks! -Ski

jmar Posted March 5, 2015 Share #3 Posted March 5, 2015 Hi Ski! Hope all is well with you. Is it a 9/M Meyer or 22/M Meyer or earlier? it might well be for foreign use too since Meyer contracted out worldwide. Also maybe a sweetheart item? It looks quite nice whatever they are. Could you include a scan of the back, that would be awesome! Best wishes! Joe
Teamski Posted March 6, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted March 6, 2015 Will do tomorrow. It doesn't feature the shield, just the company name. -Ski

automatic Posted March 6, 2015 Share #6 Posted March 6, 2015 Without the shield, that would date to before the 30's right?
BROBS Posted March 6, 2015 Share #7 Posted March 6, 2015 I think on some very small items from all eras they left off the shield. -Brian
automatic Posted March 6, 2015 Share #8 Posted March 6, 2015 Thanks Brian, makes sense. I'm still new to this, I just use reference tables to pigeonhole items, I don't have the experience to ID anything that doesn't conform
BROBS Posted March 6, 2015 Share #9 Posted March 6, 2015 Shoot... I don't either! I have just seen some other stuff marked in this same way. -Brian
