But I have seen a green model with a different stock number (stock 74-G-76-35) and different type (Type III) , and I have notice that these stocks have a white and blue strap instead the green or tan straps they usually had, so I was wondering...is that a stock for civilian market or what?

Strange blue and white strap

Another question: As I read here, this model was made only in 1.943, and after this year the Army change for the M-1944 goggles (more easy in materials and construction)...but I have seen a lot of M-1943 goggles dated in 1944...So, could these models be for civilian use...or the Amercian Optical made as well for the army in 1944???

Dated in 1944

And the last question...I have seen that only the clear lenses model have military especifications on the package...Someone knows why???

In type I goggles we can read "for use by Military personnel", but in the type II, type III and type E-1 nothing is wrote about military use..

Thanks for all and sorry for so many questions!!

I'm sure your not processing the information correctly, the goggles in question are the Model of 1943 and the dates you see on some of the packaging is the date of the contract not manufacture. Manufacturing of the M-1943 goggle spans 1943-1944 then production of the superseding M-1944 goggle takes it place. Those are not military specifications on the packaging they are contract and stock numbers. The E-1 goggles do have the Army Air Force specification printed on them, Specification 94-3142 Goggle, Dark Adaptation Type E-1 is dated 28 January 1944. So I'm curious if there are any red lensed goggles dated 1943? The original specification 3142 were for a green lens goggle.

Construction materials typically mean absolutely zero and it is obvious that during a production period, new contract what have you the supplier of the elastic material sent a different color. I wouldn't beat your brain up to much over subtle manufacturer, contractor and supplier variants on these goggles.

I don't know who all the manufacturers or contractors were for these goggles but we do know that American Optical is one manufacturer. S. Froehlich is clearly a contractor or a better description, an assembly contractor. American Optical supplied the goggles, an unknown manufacturer supplied the envelope and S. Froehlich paid a gaggle of War Workers to assemble the package.

Dustin, The answer is yes. I have a red pair that were my dads and they are dated 1943. They are in rough shape because they were folded in a box and are stiff but they look like the others pictured. The green lens I have are dated 1944.
