Brig Posted March 2, 2015 Share #11 Posted March 2, 2015 A Commandant stack! Only Commandant related item I have is a signature on a discharge document. Woot! Can we see a close up? Good provenance with it?
bellasilva Posted March 2, 2015 Share #12 Posted March 2, 2015 Wow, incredible haul! I really have to make it a point to make it to an SOS one day. Unreal
CNY Militaria Posted March 3, 2015 Author Share #13 Posted March 3, 2015 Thanks for the comments all! Brig, I will post closeups of it soon. All I know as far as provenance is that it came from a liquidated GO collection. The commandant or someone else wrote his name on the back of the rack. Dave Posted March 3, 2015 Share #15 Posted March 3, 2015 A Commandant stack! Only Commandant related item I have is a signature on a discharge document. Woot! Can we see a close up? Good provenance with it? Brig - a member here and a dealer at the SOS had General Mundy's promotion documents at the show, plus a huge portrait of him as well. Hessian and I looked at them. I'm guessing they're still available if you're interested...
vzemke Posted March 3, 2015 Share #16 Posted March 3, 2015 Great finds! Quite a trill to find all that in 72 hours, huh? The MG Turner group is interesting. What an interesting story that guy had!
