mvmhm Posted January 30, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted January 30, 2015 ..he said this was a military "oil can"...but it reminds me of the gas cans you saw in the movie Pearl Harbor that they were pulling our of the B-25s....again, any ideas??? It's about 14 inches tall, and 9.5 inches square. The screw cap covers a spout that pulls out too.... Mark sends
Hellfish41 Posted January 30, 2015 Share #5 Posted January 30, 2015 And I couldn't stand MRE Pound Cake. Looks like the M2 isn't the only thing that the military kept around.

1SG_1st_Cav Posted January 31, 2015 Share #16 Posted January 31, 2015 During the Vietnam war our C-Ration pound cake was made by the National Bisquit Company in Nashville, Tennessee. We would fight over a can of Pound Cake, and a can of Peaches. We never had streak so we had to amuse ourselves some way!
gwb123 Posted January 31, 2015 Share #17 Posted January 31, 2015 I wonder if the Pound Cake is still good? I guess there is only one way to find out. Noooooo....... There was a Youtube video out couple years ago of some yahoo who decided to try eating expired Vietnam era rations. It was kind of like watching a train wreck about to happen.. you knew how it was going to turn out, but still had to watch. His reward for ruining these relics was a very foul mouthful of 30 year old food. The look on his face was priceless, but I sincerely hope he did not have to get his stomach pumped!
