mpguy80/08 Posted January 28, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2015 From what I understand the IMA Thompsons are built around original lowers with a solid cast upper receiver and barrel. The other, cheaper alternative is here: www.replicaguns.com Look into the Thompson Shop there for a variety of different Thompsons to fit about any price point. They run from $279 (alloy receiver, wood furniture, working bolt and trigger, non-op safety and selector) for an M1928 top cocker, to $749 for a Blued Steel, solid upper with working lower (trigger pulls, safety and selector levers move) M1A1. Its all in what you're looking for and what you're willing to pay. I have one of their alloy M1928's for my display and it passes the six foot test.
