dustin Posted January 23, 2015 Share #7 Posted January 23, 2015 You cannot use the NXSX system when dating this jacket nor NXSS or any other alphabetic pre fix system. The contract you have is simply a Navy Department contract of the pre war and immediate inter war system then switching to a more refined system in the spring of 1942. Your Jacket contract dates to late 1941 I'm guessing December. For basic reference 98,000 begins in January 1942. Your jacket was most likely manufactured in 1942.
